Weekly Update From
our Central Elders

Thursday, August 7 | 2025

This week Rich continues the series entitled Intentionality.  Week 6 is Go In Peace  and if you want to prepare, read Exodus 4:18-20. Some additional verses to prepare. Romans 8:6,  John 14:27, Philippians 4:6-7, Galatians 5:22, Romans 15:13 & 33.

Worship songs for this Sunday are: Shalom;  What a God;  Here I am to Worship;  The Blood.

BE AWARE that starting on September 7th  - our Fall Kickoff Sunday – our Second Service will start at 10:45 AM.  First Service will still begin at 9AM.  So going forward from that date, Sunday services will be 9am and 10:45am!  This should ease our congestion in the parking lot between services.

Please continue to park at Northwest Park and use one of our beautiful shuttles on Sunday morning. It will be a great help with parking for our many Visitors every Sunday if you can use one of our vans.

Our Parking & Shuttle Ministries are looking for more volunteers to assist in making coming to Central a pleasant experience for our partners and visitors. Contact Martin Mickey martin_mickey@hotmail.com  for Parking Ministry or Bill Phillips 1969firebird1@gmail.com for the Van Ministry. Your help is needed - it’s a great way to get connected and a great way to serve here at Central.

Our Safety Team could also use some additional members. Do you have any enforcement or medical experience that you’d like to put to use serving the Kingdom here at Central? If so, contact Rob Breese pewter55@msn.com .

I hope you have been keeping up with your Bible Recap study this week. This Sunday, August 10th,  will be Day 222 – you should be reading Jeremiah 10-13 by this Sunday.

Our Three Services Survey has completed. Thank you to the 319 partners who responded. It will help us to plan for the time when we may have to have 3 services on Sunday mornings.

We have ongoing projects coming up at Central. We FINALLY have received permits for our new bathrooms in the Connect Center and 2-Story building.  We are anxious to get the new construction schedule from our contractor.   Have you noticed the significant updates that are happening to our Lobby and Welcome Center?   We still have some serious maintenance items coming up with our AC so we’ll keep you appraised on that.

The Central staff & elders pray for the health and safety of you and your family every week. We pray for your physical health but also for your spiritual & emotional health. We pray that there will be harmony and unity within His church. Please continue to submit prayer requests on our Connection Cards, Linktree, or through our Central App. You can also stop by our Prayer Room on Sunday morning to submit a prayer or meet with a prayer warrior. We are a church that believes in the power of prayer and we see it working every day in our lives.

Thank you for being YOU and for staying connected here at Central! Are you attending that EXTRA class or connect group each week? What about discipling someone or being discipled? Are you active in our Women’s or Men’s Ministries? Get more involved.

There are visitors, some new, some repeat, showing up every Sunday morning. What a blessing!!  God brings them to us, it’s our job to make them feel welcome. Don’t forget to invite our visitors back to worship with us again.

Take some time to introduce yourself to someone you meet that you don’t know this Sunday – they could be a Central partner you haven’t met or maybe a visitor.  This may be your opportunity to tell someone the good news or to invite them to one of the connect groups you attend. Share  YOUR Central story with others.

Be bold and share your Jesus story too.

Your Elders want you to know how much we value each of you and are always praying for you. Please feel free to reach out to  your  Elder or any  Elder with your questions or concerns. The Elders are listed at the end of this email with the partners in their group, by last name.

Is there a partner here at Central that you think would make a good Elder? Read Titus 1 to understand the qualifications. Is there someone who is already serving here at Central that you think would be a valuable asset to our leadership? If so, feel free to email an Elder so that we can consider this candidate.  We’d love to talk to them and see if they are interested.

YOU are a blessing to Central in so many ways.

The Lord has brought you here to be a part of His work.
We appreciate your heart for worship, giving, caring, and serving.
